Tour program & Stops
❶🕚
🌲Troodos Mountain Drive & Cedar Valley
Ascend through cedar forests and pine-scented mountain air as we climb toward the highest peaks in Cyprus. Stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the island — on clear days you can see Lebanon and the coast of Turkey.
❷🕛
⛪ Kykkos Monastery (founded 1090 AD)
The wealthiest and most important monastery in Cyprus, founded in the late 11th century and rebuilt many times after fires. Home to one of the three icons painted by Luke the Apostle. The treasury museum houses priceless Byzantine artefacts and illuminated manuscripts.
❸🕑
🪦 Tomb of Archbishop Makarios III
A short walk from Kykkos leads to the hilltop tomb of Cyprus's first president and archbishop — a figure of enormous importance to the island's independence and Orthodox faith. The site offers sweeping views across the Troodos valleys.
❹🕝
🏘 Kakopetria — mountain village
One of the most picturesque villages in Cyprus, Kakopetria preserves traditional stone houses dating back centuries. Stop for lunch at a local taverna and try mountain specialities — fresh trout, smoked sausages and mountain herbs.
❺🕟
🎿 Troodos Square & Mount Olympos (optional)
Visit the summit area of Mount Olympos (1,952m) — Cyprus's highest peak. In winter months this is a ski resort; in summer a starting point for forest hiking trails. Great opportunity for photos at the highest point in Cyprus.
