🦩 Larnaca Salt Lake & Flamingos

One of the most striking natural spectacles in Cyprus — from October to March, thousands of flamingos gather on the shallow salt lake adjacent to Larnaca Airport. Year-round the lake offers dramatic migratory birdwatching and striking landscape photography.

🕛
🕌 Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque

One of the most sacred sites in the Islamic world, located on the southwestern shore of the salt lake. Built over the tomb of Umm Haram, the foster mother of the Prophet Muhammad. The tranquil lakeside setting is one of the most photogenic in Cyprus.

🕑
⛪ Church of Saint Lazarus

The 9th-century Byzantine church in the heart of Larnaca's old town was built over the tomb of Lazarus — the man Jesus raised from the dead, who later became the first bishop of Kition. The ornate iconostasis and catacombs are among the finest in Cyprus.

🕝
🧵 Lefkara — UNESCO Lace Village

The hilltop village of Lefkara has been famous for its distinctive silver and lace work since the Venetian era. Legend says Leonardo da Vinci visited in 1481 and purchased a lace altar cloth for Milan Cathedral. Browse the workshops, meet the artisans and find unique handmade souvenirs.

🕟
🏰 Larnaca Fort & Seafront Promenade

The medieval fort overlooking Larnaca Bay was used as a garrison by the Ottomans and as a prison until 1949. Today it houses a small but fascinating medieval museum. End with a stroll along the palm-lined Finikoudes promenade — ideal for a fresh juice or coffee.
